Btw, no piston stop or "clutch tool" is needed with the newer outboard clutch Huskys, just a suitable screwdriver or chisel, and something to hit it sharply with. As a bonus, there are no small e-clips or washers to loose in the process. :001_smile:

 

Yes you do, it's the same tool as that particular models predecessor, if you're taking the clutch off otherwise, how you gonna refit it?

Just spin it on by hand and the next time you apply the chain brake it tightens . How I have always done it anyway .

I'll stick to using the tool, I've got it, may as well use it

Its much quicker just to give it a short, sharp, shock as sawtroll says. The old ways are always the best!

The tool is only useful to me, where as I have purchased many hammers (double figures) which go walkies, and I never see them again
