If its not biting it's either because the cord is new and stiff, or the cord is too long....not much you can do about that with the splice eyes other than tying the knot slightly different so it leaves it with shorter legs

I find new cords take a while to work in.. a loose knot will slip, tidy and dress the knot so its tight also try nudging the knot up by hand when you want it to bite, one of mine is a little longer than the other and it needs a nudge.

if a new cord isn't biting, take one leg off the crab, twist it a few times and clip it back on, can make all the difference.

youve done it all wrong, go back to a prussik :P just redress it a bit, put the top leg so it come down the back of the wraps not the side, then bounce round on it a bit. looks to be tied right.
