I tried the footlock method. I got the hang of it after a few attempts and used it ok on the first climb I done. But. This was away from the tree main trunk, on the second climb I was against the trunk work so trying to footlock while banging against tree was hard so turned to use my feet against tree and this was when I had the "problem" after.

I've not got a lot of climbers near me that I can go and see what gear and how it's all used also the different techniques everyone uses so I'm having to look at videos or like at jonsies show look at what they have set up there, but there is a big difference in looking at a system and someone showing how it's used.

Guess I need to get on a course soon and go through it all.

Oh and it's the climbing up that done it as on the second go I didn't get into a canopy as it was getting late and I was dog tired. Plus it took me ages to get the throw line up and in where I wanted it.
