Road Trip

Today is my Birthday, I was going to have a nice day off with the wife but instead we have had to go on a road trip up to Newcastle to take my chipper to Orange plant. I put new bearings in at Christmas and 3 weeks ago they had gone again, I changed them but they have now gone again:( so I thought it best to take it to the dealer to get sorted, so my 35 week pregnant wife and I set out at 5.30am in the landy to Newcastle, we arrived at 8am and have left the chipper to hopefully get sorted today(fingers crossed). We are now having breakfast in Alnwick and the we are going to the gardens at Alnwick castle, the wife is treating us to lunch hope to get the chipper back later.

Nice balance of work and family life there! Check out the tree house at Alnwick Castle, Holy Island or Seahouses are nice places to visit as well.

I think we are havin lunch in the treehouse restaurant. the treehouse looks awesome!!

The smoke house in seahouses is awesome if you like fish. It's one of rick steins food heroes.

For a seafood restaurant try the mizen head at bamburgh. Beautiful food and good prices. Deli boards are good as well.

I love Seahouses and Bamburgh - took the wife up there for the last week in March. The beach is pretty amazing - massive but not busy.

Excellent! I'll be going up to Alnwick soon! Going to the gardens etc and having a meal in the tree house restraunt
