Yeah unfortunately i found out this morning.

Some more info as a heads up.

Amanda Wilder was her name in the email.

The mobile number (0)7973 425052 which i have been told is the same in more than one saw scam.

The person will tell you that they can send the saw free of charge with parcel force and payment involves a UKASH payment.

I hope this helps anyone when buying a saw off gumtree.

Just a heads up if your looking to buy a ms200t.

The person posting the ad is sending fake emails from there account and fake parcel force emails.

stihl ms200t top handle chainsaw chain saw tree surgeon sthil ms 200t arborist in Essex | Other Household Goods for Sale | Gumtree.com

The picture looked familiar to me just had a look on e-bay and there is a stihl 011 AV top handle chainsaw for sale on the same table with the same building in the background but it say's Shropshire where it's based.

Be very careful with Gumtree, it seems to be riddled with corrupt people that are willing to take your money and give you nothing in return.

I have noticed over the last month or so that there will be saws listed on ebay then a few days after they have ended get listed on Gumtree for half the price they sold for and in a completely different part of the country but still using the same pictures.

I got stung via a gumtree ad for 2 Iphones all seemed very genuine had numerous messages as thought it was too good to be true, talked myself into it as you do sometimes and as soon as money had been transferred heard nothing ever again.

Ended up searching Google about it and came across a Police Officer called Robin Plaice who is specialising in Gumtree Fraud which made me realise how big this problem is. Turned out he had 100's of people that all been conned the same as me and had a big list if names account numbers etc that these fraudsters had been using.

If you want I can give you his email address to report your incident, dont think you'll get your money back but at least they are aware of it and saves other people in the future getting stung by these people.

Cheers

Chris
