Yeah will have to get one.

 

The only reason I use prussik is so I can take it off the flip line and use it elsewhere. Either for a changeover or just so I've got it if I need it.

spot on i have the art positioner on my side strop, handy little tool! especially when climbing resinous tree sps.

Short VT here, bounce on it to lock it tight a few times to bed it in.

 

Rich, cord costs buttons mate. You shouldn't have to use it for multi-purpose applications.

I know, it's just easier for me to take it off, drop the flip line and carry on with my climb. It's only rec climbing so I don't really need the line. Only for resting or as a bit of support when changing over.

I am probably incorrect, but I thought the ART positioner doesn't work with a wire core flipline?

It does work very well Rich.

Cheers Pete, I thought the rope had to bend in order for the positioner cam to lock.

 

But as I said, I have been wrong before.

Not tried it with a large line to be honest. 1/2 inch max

There is a different cam for the positioner for flip lines.
