Hi all, may be looking for a tractor soon.

Duties would be running log splitter, possibly processor at some point. Need to have a loader fitted/ or can be fitted at some point, Maybe go on the road with a 3.5-4 tonne tipping trailer at the back.

Seen a few tractors about,

Whats international 444 like? ALso david brown 990 selectamatic?

What would you suggest and what hp?

Any help appreciated :)

Cheers

fords are good, cheap parts easy to fix, some had few glitches but ultimately if your half handy with a spanner there ain't much you can't do! 6610 something like that, would be good!

Both the david brown and the international are about a grand.

The david brown is 57hp and the international is 42hp or 40hp

Aparently the david browns are bad for hydraulics?

any help?

DB's are prone to poor hydraulics, but if your not going to be working it hard and all day you'll probably find they'll never give you much of a problem.
