Stihl MS180

[Pro Gard]

The smallest stihl Ive used is an 023, alright for knocking off fence posts but no power and the afore mentioned plastic casings.

 

For small wood i like a o26, super light, reliable and reasonably powerful, at a push you can cut reasonable dimensions albeit slowly. The 018 on the other hand wont.

 

Everything else I cut with 70cc plus saws

I have two MS170's main reason I have em is for cutting limbs at the chipper and for my groundy to learn chainsaw use with, they are a nice little saw to learn the basics on.

It was a revelation!!

 

I was beginning to think this tree surgery lark was too much like hard work. I can now put gobs in in a matter of seconds rather than days.

had a customer the other day trying to cut some fencing up with an electric jigsaw, after smelling smoke and lots of noise i turned round to see him using a metal hacksaw blade in it and he was burning his way through:scared1:

lent him my cordless circular saw and he was thru in seconds!!
