Ya missed a bit.... where he said "F8, munters or 8 to reduce friction and your away". Could add RW in there too. Or bug or WHY.

It does I do it fairly regularly with a vt! Some gets abit stiff but still works! Is better with something like an f8 or wrench!!

 

Even though a I think buying a wrench just to come down a pole might be abit over kill:sneaky2:

Very true, can,t deny that. I,ve only used the technique to descend short distances to knock out sections of a stem, long descents are impractical because of the amount of rope required and the rope on rope problem you mentioned. However it does retrieve very well and is easy to set up. It works better with a wider rigging ring and does need to be seated safely before you put your weight on it.
