Tree surgeon fails to save cat!

Glad I started this thread, some excellent replies

Of course we don't know the circumstances but the facts of the matter seem that fire brigade failed, tree surgeon failed, pre-pubescent boy succeeded...

And from the way the article is written it doesn't even seem he had disco legs... ''It's not even the biggest tree I have climbed''

Good on him, but have to wonder how safe it was if the arborist declined on unsafe grounds, or whether he was one of them arborists with a pair of trainers, a pole pruner and lots of ladders... :001_rolleyes:

Be good to hear from the horses mouth if anyone on here knows more details... if the tree was genuinely unsafe it would be a shame that this kid is being hailed as a hero if he has narrowly escaped injury climbing a very dead leaning tree or something, that any arborist would decline...

Lets hope this kid just had a bigger set than everyone else looking at the 'job'

Cat stuck in tree=12 bore=cat removed from tree.

Can't stand the vermin and they should all die.

He'd the cat protection society at my door the other day, they got a mouthfull of whatnot. The only protection they need is from me......

If anyone dares whine about firemen refusing to rescue a cat then they need a slap!:001_rolleyes:

Anyone phoning the fire brigade asking to help rescue a cat also needs a slap, and deserves a fine for wasting time!

Besides we were all indestructible at 15 so no credit to the kid.:laugh1:

I've been to rescue 2 cats and both of them jumped out of the tree before I managed to get close to them.:sneaky2:

The 'tree surgeon' should stick to whatever job he was doing at the time when he was asked him if he could rescue a cat.
