Hi Guys

Just wondering what Accounting software you use? I have Mac computers so ideally anything that is compatible with them? Just wondered if there is anything that has a customer database as well as accounting?

I use quickbooks which has pretty much everything. I have a Mac, but unfortunately quickbooks wont run on a mac so i have to run it on parallels, which runs it very well, in fact better than my old pc version used to. They do do an online version though as an option.

In the same boat with Mac, don't really want an online system, looking at Mamut Account Edge, which is very similar to a package I used to use called Business Basics.

I use an online one called Freshbooks which is great, but Im not 100% sure how it would work for arb type work. Might be worth a look?

We've been using Kashflow for a couple of years and it's really easy. I actually enjoy doing VAT returns now because they only take about 30 seconds

Eddie, you need to buy a bit of software called parallels, it runs a little version of windows on your mac desktop, then you can run any windows software inside it.

Of course if you go for a package that is web based, then it doesn't matter which operating system you have. A friend of mine (landscaping) goes for Brightpearl, you can do quotes on it and it handles your accounting, invoicing etc.. It's a very clever piece of software. You do need to be online for it though, so if your on your iPad it needs 3g.
