Big torn out bit of Cedar balanced on what left of the union and the ground, and another hanging piece. The hanging piece is on what's left of the bracing, that will be pretty straight forward but the big curved bit is another matter. I have a plan but would be interested to here some other ideas. The pics from above are taken from scaffolding on the building that's nearby.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1339447828.850207.jpg.c055c15b5ee1836d8456fbce41158a5a.jpg

Looks like a bit of a mess, but as with all snap outs, I would secure the broken stuff to the tree first! Then go about clearing its path to lower down. Hard to tell from the pictures. Good luck.

Haha, nice Tom, unfortunately the scaffolding is well within striking distance. Im planning on setting up a pulley and winching the big bit up to remove the compression then knock lumps off in relative safely. The other bit on the bracing just tie it off to secure it, then cut n drop the rest.

You say this tree was braced, in your opinion what did bracing achieve as an end result, other than lightening someones wallet at some point? Rom the pictures it doesnt appear to have done much good really.
