They don't have the Gortex membrane through, dry feet makes life so much more pleasant, IMO.

Haix Pro's are great Ive got 2 pairs and swap over from 1 pair to the next each week. both are going strong and still in good working order after almost 3yrs

Most boots will have a metal plate in the sole won't they? Its just i had a nasty incident with a blackthorn branch i don't wish to repeat lol

 

most decent boots will have some sorta under foot protection. I've always worn and all our guys (3) wear haix protecter pros an love em

Airstreams. Mine are approaching 4 years old now. I have a brand new pair in the wardrobe that I bought last June and haven't been worn yet because I can't kill my other pair. Worth every penny they cost me and then some.

Had mine three years never got wet feet, just look after them and keep them polished.

Got some haix protector pros. Well worth the money imo, feet dry, warm and safe. Especially if you are climbing over brash, the very high ankles on them keep you steady!

I can second the husqvarna technical boots, had mine 3 months now and they are really good.

Haix protector pro's all the way ive had 2 pairs now and they have been brilliant very waterproof and comfortable good ankle support as well.
