Just found the board and would like to say hello :001_smile:

If this is in the wrong section, then MODs please move it.

I started working as a tree surgeon 14 years ago. I then gave it up to become a teacher and have been living abroad for the last few years. Unfortunately, due to some ill health in my family, I will be returning to the UK to help with things.

Looks like I will be doing some tree work to keep me ticking over. Things have certainly changed a lot since I got my certificates and the gear seems very flash now.

Just thought I would give a quick intro and hopefully learn from this forum.:001_smile:

Thanks for the welcome folks.

King of the ring: no prison story there I'm afraid. It's sumo wrestling for tree surgeons! Good fun and a way to settle minor disputes in a friendly way

In regards to teaching, to cut a long story short, I teach in further education and there just isn't any full-time jobs (a sad and unfortunate story at the moment in every sector).

This forum is a great source of information, there was nothing like this when I started.

Thanks again.
