Nice one!! I made one a few years back out of warped walnut boards ..the curve Adds a bit if comfort ! but they are pretty comfy chairs any way.

I like that baggy, very nice!

Friend makes some similar 1's but hollows out a couple of sections in the middle and finishes the top with a point, giving them a bit of a gothic look.

 

and seasoned oak is super tough!! i've had good quality wood chisels snap clean in half when working with reclaimed oak on traditional timber framing, tend to carry 2 sets of chisels when i do it know 1 for if i have to strike the tool and the other set i keep super sharp and use the as parring chisels

 

I reckon you could shainsaw that, what do you all think. Would you have to do it with seasoned wood? Or oukd you make it green and use it straight away?
