Ford 7700 tractor

Hi there, anyone know anything about these tractors?

 

ANy info about them etc? Spotted one thats a 103hp needs a bit of work...

HI SWINNY mate yes i think my mate has one they had it on a 6 furrow non reversible plough for a :lol:it pulled it ok theres 2 dev tanks and his is 2 wd ll the best jon:thumbup:

Brilliant tractors Swinny, everything Gardenkit says is spot on.

6700 was a bit underpowered, 7700 was a marvellous machine.

Fords of that age were a bit of a Meccano kit so easily fiddled with.

Ford's DP was better than MF's MultiPower & IH's T/A.

Q cab is all pressed sections and they are notorious for rotting out.

Replacement cabs not easy to come by but there are plenty of folk out there making replacement sections / restoring them, pick up a copy of Classic Tractor....!

Very envious, would love a 7700.....

give it a go if its cheap enough,used to drive a 6600,did all the jobs well, 5'6 wessex swipe,4 tonne trailer so 7700 with 20 odd extra hp will perform well, 6600 had dp stick on steering column,great when loaded up with cord wood on trailer and dragging harrow
