Beech trees and pruning.. opinions please

Sorry late in on this one but I agree with the"if it is done properly and the tree is healthy" a crown lift as described is totally fine . Think how a beech hedge is rashered with a hedge cutter ? . If it was a willow and you felled it 2 inches from the ground it would most likely sprout again . If you did that to a beech most likely it would not ! ! but this ---- all fine .

Oh come on old boy, that event is full of Hethen arbs, far and away from the crowds david Humphries associates with, he shops in waitrose and listens to classical music, even takes a look into the arts now and again does Mr Humphries, Mix with hairy arsed arbs at such a do?
