any views on the greenmech tracked woodchipper model 252?

They are good chippers, I was looking to buy one a while back but in the end I opted for the BC1000XL.

well chuffed with mine, when my kwik chip got nicked i got offered a 2002 9" chip master, 55hp greenmech, a lot knocked it but there was nowt around so i took the it and am glad i did. A local firm near me have run tracked greenmechs for 8 years and swear by them. would have another 1 with out a doubt

Never used one one but i know some railway boys and they prefer greenmech to shiesling. They cant fault it, and those boys like a moan.

not being funny or anything i've read alot of posts about various woodchippers such as timberwolf,shiesling,jenson,vermeer etc but u never hear much about greenmech. in about 3 or 4 months time i will be looking at buying my first towable woodchipper. now for small access stuff which we do alot of my dad is looking at buying a jo beau which i know is one of the best small chippers out there. for some strange reason i like the look of all the greenmech range never used one. i dont care about a trailer license i will get one if its over 750kg, i've use alot of timberwolfs 150hb 190hb and s426tdh shredder just wondered how the greenmechs compared any help would be grateful. cheers martin

Greenmech are good strongly built machines that perform well for the capacity they are built for. I don't know whether they still have it on but I found the adjustable feed rate useful

Yeah I had a Jo Beau M400 for a while which was great so long as it was sharp, otherwise useless boneshaker. Do all drum chippers sharpen a piece of wood and then lob it out of the shoot?! I've often wondered about the merits of a drum chipper over a disc type... any thoughts? M500 self propelled looked good but very expensive.

thats whats my old man is looking at buying m400 i've hired the m300 great machine but i want a towable chipped i really do not know why but for some strange reason everytime i look at greenmech i like them just wondered what u guys and girls that use them think off them (i would be looking round the 5-8 inch mark so any suggestions would be great ) oh and

how is ur range off drum chippers going really interested to hear about them any pic or vids on how they perfrom if one is finished cheers mate

I hear the new greenmechs are good but the old ones (going back 6-7 years) were diabolical to say the least.

bandit are very good. simple enough, very powerful infeed and chip anything in my experience. in your size bracket would be the 65XP but if you went up to a 9 inch theres the unstoppable 90XP i think it is.

 

seem to be doing some very good/panicked prices at the moment. Chap I do some work for had a phonecall while I was driving us to a job the other day, was bandit dealer offering a brand new 65XP twin roller with the diesel engine for 11.5k + Vat
