I was there in 93 with dave and Mr Parker[i love shigo] then it turned to a community college and went down hill and churns out studentswith tickets they should not have as they have to pass them to gain there goverment cash

Mr "i love shigo" Parker...funny as...ha ha ......Houghal was the place to be back in the day!.....i LOVED it!!!!!!! Trees, trees and more trees with a load of climbing and chainsaws thrown in for good measure...it was an intensive course then but when you left you knew you were an Arborist that,s for sure....do you remember Paul "Dr Chainsaw" Turnbull?...he was a character......

Stop reminiscing about the good old days 'Sven'! although 95 - 96 was one of the best years of my life and a bit of turning point for me.

I wonder what most of the people that were on our course are doing now?

regards,

Steve

It's a crying shame about Houghall, and that I didn't stop to take any pics of the 3 big beeches in Darlington. 2 big crane jobs and one BIG MEWP one. You can't really take any chances with Meripilus as bad as those.

Speaking of misfits, we ground a stump for Mr. Blench the other week, he's in fine fettle as you would expect!

Keep up the good work and discussing climbing systems I have no idea what your taking about.

WTF is an SRT / spiderjack, on the rare occasion I climb I have to dig out the old 3 strand and tie my knots like in the bad old days.

Regards,

Steve
