but,....how do you make a dowel?

Thank you sir! I dont know about lowly chainsaw carver! after 30 years of using them, I still cant cut a str8 ring with a 48" bar - and there's some on here that could have carved my table out of a block (he who did that elven/fantasy chair for starters).

 

Dowel? Not sure. One of the earth gnomes did tell me once, but I had my pants down at the time and was busy. Heart of newt, ear of bat, innit? ;-)
