Perfect weather this morning for a trip up the coast to Cresswell and back home for dinnertime. Refuelled at this fine establishment.

Trip clocked at 47 miles in about 3h20min which is fast (for me).:blushing:

Is that the bike that you did 47miles in 3h20 on??

Yeah, that's my go-anywhere steed. It's been down red runs at Glentress and I also go touring with panniers on as well as general hooning about at home. It's pretty light weight, but it's no racer!

Was just in the mood to get a bit of speed on for once.

Good work. Do yo ahve different tyres for different things?

I used to change tyres all the time, then I got spare wheels so that I can change wheels instead of tyres, and now I just change bikes!

Going to mountain mayhem this weekend, Im racing in a ten man team so will probably only do two laps so only taking taking two bikes, took five last year!

Yes I change from slick road tyres to the nobblies for real muddy stuff. I'm too tight to buy more than one bike- sounds like you have got lots of garage room? I'm finding myself doing less and less real mtb stuff and have been considering changing to a cyclo-cross bike.

I rent a lock up for all my work stuff and there is an extra room which I use for camping gear and spare furniture etc. There is an rsj beam in the ceiling so I can hang bikes from their saddles. I can keep some at home and then swap them as required. Have nine at the moment!!
