Hi chaps, Like the look of the ms241 and wonder if anyone has tried one out and tested it. There seem to be no reviews of them, thought someone must own one?:confused1:

Is it a completely new saw or an upgraded one???

The 261 seems to have been a real disaster, they have upped the power but not the clutch bearing and there is not room for a bigger bearing:thumbdown:

Think jonesie has said that you can swap back to an old style clutch drum and bearing and it should be ok then... but do not take my word for it

That may help, but (imo) its not a total fix, the saw has more power that its earlier version, but they have not increased the size of the bearing, with more power you need a bigger bearing.

So, back to the 241, any takers? 46cc autotune, smaller than the 261.

How many cc's was the 240 or 024 ????

Because the point I was making is if they have upped the cc's and not increased the bearing size there may be some issues, its not really a very common saw IME, most people went for the 26.

Haven't tried it yet but have read some very good reviews from seemingly experienced saw men. Supposedly a beast little saw for a 40cube. Some good reading here for ya if you're considering the purchase. http://http://www.arboristsite.com/chainsaw/182792.htm

There was a chap on here not that long ago, had all his kit stolen overnight. (think this sad report was his first post on AT) then he got sorted by the insurers and listed his shopping trolly amongst which was a 241.

I'll try and find who it was.

Someone must have bought it!?!
