They would be great for lowering with a pinto pulley on. 12mm with a 5 ton breaking strength POW! And the 9mm has 2.6 breaking strength.

 

I'm definitely looking make a couple of them for light quick rigging.

80kg maybe.

 

Guess you could use a much lighter thinner rope. Obviously depending on the piece of tree.
