Got drenched again this morning.

Doing an Ash Take down, very slippery, we are all covered in green slime.

Not as bad as Monday 10th November, went down to Catford South London.

Left my farm at 05.45 picked up the other guys on the M11 and they had the sat nav, I followed they went through 2 orange lights, don't you just love that, so I'm waiting for my ticket in the post. Got to the building site, and got set up/inducted, the heavens opened, the builders cleared off, too wet to work. I went through 2 sets of shower proof gear. It hammered it down all day, like a monsoon, then had to fight our way back through the rush hour, a car broken down in the Blackwell tunnel didnt help sat in a queque for 45mins nice view of the dome, finally got back 18.00 hrs.

So every time I look at the weather, it's like this every day in the North, How do you guy's cope?? or do you just have webbed feet?:001_smile:

been very sunny up here all week, blue sky's and frost.

No traffic to hold me up on the roads as I drive past the shadow of Tryfan and Snowdon, and on up through the National park...

We cope very nicely up here thank you very much:001_smile:

Flippin weather - rain - the bain of my life. I just detest rain with a passion; I'd rather have minus 50 and dry than rain. Used to live in Glasgow where it never stops and moved to Plymouth hoping it would be the sunshine state... I want my money back! First landfall and it all gets dumped on the edge of the moor where I live. Consequence of global warming I guess - no seasons, just mush. My heartfelt sympathy and I join you in giving those clouds the two-fingered salute.

What's your wettest month on average for rainfall totals?

Ours is December - yearly average about 37 inches or 94 centimeters. Basically one meter of rain per year.

The north California coast, our coast and the Washington coast range from about 70 to 180 inches per year, depending.

It must be amusing to be a coastal area arborist or power line trimmer.

Here on the edge of the Pennines at the gateway of the Peak National Park, it only rains at nights. During the day the sun always shines and the streets are paved with gold.

All the trees bear bacon butties as fruit and all our well paying customers bring a never ending supply of tea and coffee with chocolate hob nobs.
