Hi Guys looking to attract climbers to a comp. thats in its early stages to the Barony college in dumfries and galloway in May '09. As a gauge of interest how many of you out there are interested. I would also hope to have various forums there including 1. Wildlife habitats in Arboriculture 2. Trees in conservation areas/ Tree preservation orders - the Scottish framework

Any more ideas for forums. I know the list is enless but we have to start somewhere and try to build on it in the future.

Id be interested to see what you think

I went there years ago doing a "countryside skills course". Did my first chainsaw training here (huskies and chainsaw chaps:001_tt1:)

What sort of level of tree climbing do you need to enter........................could be fun to see what the place is like now:001_smile:

Defo, sounds pretty cool, you will have to post more information when you have it regarding location, dates and times etc.

I would be interested in entering the comp, is it going to be ISA style?????

And you could try getting some below ground ecosystem/roots/simbiotic relationships beetweens fungi and tree etc talks, i know andrew cowan at 'Arborecology 'has started a conference/seminar on it, looked preety good, and interesting if you like that sort of thing.
