I will get a grcs and really push it should load tonne lumps for that price is this about right guys.

Its more than a capstan on steriods, you can crane bits out of trees with it, pull over heavy leaning trees, as well as being a versatile lowering system.

A big thanks to Jonesie for a super quick delivery of my new Hobbs lowering device.

First impressions, well….. bigger than I expected, but a no-nonsense, heavy duty, uncomplicated piece of hardware. Beautiful welding, alignment, fabrication and design….so yes, I’m very much encouraged.

Re: The shoe in the picture…..that didn’t come with it, I just put it there for scale!

The tool will be put to work almost immediately. Plenty of raising, lowering and dumping of wood lined up over the next fortnight. I’ll be sure to get video of which I look forward to sharing and discussing it here on Arbtalk.

Another crane-job tomorrow, been postponed because of the wind once already… so tonight I’ll spend some time praying for the weather Gods to be merciful:scared:

Reg why a Hobbs and not a GRCS ?

Several preferences and personal circumstances, all of which I'll explain.....but as Ive just been given the " I never see you.... your always on the internet" ear-bashing, not five minutes ago.....I'll have to pass for tonight.

BTW, Good luck with the new venture Lee:icon14:
