Rope pluck worry.

I noticed on my rope 2 plucks on it. two seaperate strands off a 16 strand rope (marlow gecko) more than 2 inches a part...should i worry?

Is it the entire strand or just part of it?

I wouldnt worry about it personally but if you aint sure get it inspected, at least that way you wont be worrying about it while up a tree.

no rope narrowing Bob...its equal length all along.

 

How bad does it have to be not to pass a loler? Apart from hanging off 2 strands?

always an awkward one to answer as different ropes are constructed differently and different build ups and strengths and the age and general wear on the rest of the rope as wear affects strength

sorry if this sounds like a cop out

narrowing is always my first worry
