What pruner head do you recommend for a silky pole saw?

Bought the Silky Singtung today and it was so rubbish I took it back 3 hours later. Kept sticking shut, then wouldnt close at all.

Did I get a duff one or are they all rubbish?

Never had a problem with my Singtung, but a lot of people on here seem to have had the problems you have had. Think I read the are not actually made by silky sadly it is the only 1 that fits the poles as far as I know

I brought one from ging off a recommendation on arbralk ... Absolute rubbish, sandvick head on Jameson poles is the way forward I'm just gutted as I thought I would minamalise storage and go with what fitted on my silky pole saw but I've never been so disappointed.

Lost about 3mm In burr ,takes so much to crank to get the head to shut its a joke and it sticks !!! Like I said sandvik all the way!

I have a silky zubat pole saw and it's the doggies whatsits, I have never had any problems with it at all except for maybe the odd blood blister if you don't watch how you close it.

I might have to apologise with the spelling..bloody predictive apple text!! Mr goss try the sandvik head, the so called silky head is a waste of time!

Are we talking lopper head not sawblade?

I think I had that singtung thing then if its the lopper head. Worked ok but fell to bits.

I now use wolf garten one, last forever but pole not very long.

Silky for saw blades everytime though.

Yeah, Silky saw head is ace but the Sintung lopping head is beyond awful.

I'm going to engineer something so I can fit a Sandvik head to my Hayauchi telescopic poles.

Ah ok I wasn't paying enough attention and thought we were on about saw heads sorry. I have my fiskars for that.

Ha ha and I thought you were getting blisters from pulling the rope that takes about a meter to pull the head closed ! Can't fault the silky genuine pole pruner saw blades!!

Have a Hayauchi - with the saw head its fine, but the lopper head is sh*te, sticks all the time. Then leant it to a mate who obviously kept banging it on the ground to release the stuck lopper head, and now the push in buttons have torn the aluminium - all in all, pretty much scrap!
