Another mis-quote

Went to price this little farty conifer to take down, 10ft high 5-6 inch stem, twenty minutes of a job to get down and clean up.

 

Bloke then asked if I can deal with the stump, I said no problem, just give us £50 for hiring the grinder and I'll do it for nowt while I'm there.

 

Bloody hell, once I removed the ivy from the bottom I got the shock of my life, the 5" stem was attached to a 4ft diameter rootball. The tree must have been pot bound when it was planted and just continued to grow into a huge ball. Took hours to grind it down with a farty little grinder

 

One of those "never in your wildest dreams would you expect that" senario's or should I say an "SBTC" senario

Was grinding today, trees we took out a couple of weeks ago, the guy had decided to holp us out by digging round them, 4' down!! He must have shifted 2 ton of earth. Turned a 1hour job into a 4 hour job:mad1:

Sometimes life sucks, but for every one of those there's one where you arrive and think thats a lot smaller than I remember.
