Cheers, the pic is from a job we did at RBGE where I volunteer 3 days a week. It was a big fat palm stump, just over head height and pear shaped, in one of the hothouses. It was awkward as the fibres were clogging the saws every step of the way, the thing was basically made of chainsaw blocking material. Then when you get through the fibrous stuff, you get to the super wet "wood", splattering everywhere haha. A hot day in the hot house with big saws made for an interesting morning!

Make sure you clean your saw after cutting palm. That stuff eats chainsaws till there is nothing left.

Good pics, I hope there is more to come

We did don't worry! Lots of scraping, blowing and filing haha

Good man

I did a lot of palms while working in Rome and forgot to clean the saw once or twice till I noticed a hole starting to appear in the side casing. Turns out the palm juice or whatever you want to call it had been eating the saw from the inside out! Also found a few times the fibres seem to expand when cut so I was forever getting the saw jammed in the cut. On a bonus though the heart is real tasty and great for after your sandwiches.
