Hi, is anyone climbing on the yale blue tongue??

Need a new 37m rope and was thinking of trying it, would the 11.7diameter be any good for the R.W as well as the spiderjack??

Cheers Fellas

Not climbed on it but feels a lovely rope, very similar feel to New England tachyon. Think it'd work nice with the SJ, not sure about the RW cos only been up on that a couple times but that was on 13mm New England.

Sorry I can't be more help.

I have it in green limelight I think it's called really nice line similar to tachyon, I,e tight and round, unlike Imori which is soft and erm flaccid.

Blue is a great colour for visibility as its a colour you do not see often in nature, only problem is I hear blue dye is not so good for reasons I cannot remember.

I have it and tayon both very similar but IMO bule tongue wins hands down as its much lower strech I also prefer the colour as unlike the green tachyon I can actually see it in ivy.

blue tongue is far easier to grip in the wet than tachyon. i had the misfortune to climb on a hank of tachyon in the rain a couple of weeks ago, decended and came back up with an old hank of arbormaster

I have been climbing on blue tongue for two years its a great rope once it's worn in. I've just bought a length of the new Yale rope arrow frog which is the same rope with slightly less stretch. It seems like a nice rope and well worth a look too.
