Does your daughter use Arbtalk?.........it might be that its only fellas that do. There must be more than just a couple dont you think......

There are more women than you think using the forum, you dont realise who we are! I rarely meet any other women who work in Forestry / T/W, and work mainly with men, although we get women FC foresters who supervise us doing T/W / cutting etc. and we sometimes employ women to help with firewood deliveries.

I dont have much to say, it's more interesting reading threads and finding out what other people think, how work is going etc. in the rest of UK.

Hi yes it does happen in the beginning and its not easy and it's the same in geo too ,i but luckily not in a long time, where ever I go the lads have all been great . As as time goes on you just know exact ally what to do and how to do it, it very quickly becomes apparent to everyone on site that you need no prompting and can do your job efficiently and safely .

Being female goes down a treat with all my customers it's usually the wife that rings me and they really like having a girl coming to do the job ,

I hope more girls take it up , it's the best thing I ever did

Agree with all your comments, customers are often really pleased to see a women on site, never had a negative experience, and LOVE my work!

When I started my business my wife left her hateful banker job and worked with me for eight months.

We do domestic work and the clients loved it. The old people and the wives at home were much more relaxed.

The letcherous old men love it too. Suddenly, 85yr old Grandpa would be out dragging a branch and flirting! 😂😂

Generally though, women aren't afflicted with an ego, like us dumb blokes. Therefore, less or zero damage to gear and property and less personal injury because they don't try to muscle stuff while the (female) client is watching.

Sent with my iPhone from me, to you!
