In round figures maximum full load of sprit 40'000 lts full load of diesel/gas oil 38000 lts.

 

The larger oil companies have tankers with capacity to carry 42,000 litres of unleaded and yes when its a combination of derv and unleaded the capacity reduces to 38,000.

My local Tesco Express garage was nearly empty of cars so I thought I would shove half a tank's worth in the truck to fill up. I pulled in to see covers on all the diesel pumps

Spoke to the staff at the last site that I sold (about 4 years ago) and they said that they had sold 120,000 litres in the last two days whereas they normally do 10,000 litres a day.

someone is making a killing!...its all down to greed. The Oil companies are making massive profits, the Govt are raking in 85% or the price per litre in tax, the tanker drivers, stirred up by the bolshie unions, are demanding a 14% pay rise while the rest of us are working our guts out in a recession. GREED!
