Technical little number today for a very good customer.

A sweet chestnut in terrible condition with a nasty split, over a large birdcage. Loads of flowers and shrubs that could not be touched. Not a big tree by any means, but with no bombing allowed I had a sweat on before it got warm today.

You can just see the ratchet strap I set to hold the stems together in pic 1, which was taken after I rigged 3 18' heads from the rear stem in the centre.

Some skinny laterals to reduce, then easy on the arse afterwards by rigging 3' lengths of cord down into the birdcage.

Doesn't look much in the pics, but some of the heads I were tied into were 50% decayed, and I was very nervous up there.

I was thinking about Reg's vid on those windblow when he climbed above that cavity. He was probably 90' higher than I was. Different World.

If there was a 'giving it the finger' smilie I would use it right here!

I did RW up for access bro, binned it when my pants started moving! I was jumpy putting the straps on.

Scariest tree for a while for me, but you know you get that feeling when you've nailed it?:thumbup1:

Hope things are good with you mate, shakes seem to have settled!
