One reason I use Aspen

Based on my averages, it takes about 3 and a half weeks to burn a 5l mix. Obviously this varies and I've burned 7l of Aspen in one day recently.

 

So, if I mix 5l of two stroke, do a fortnight with a handsaw, then start burning the fuel that's a 5 and a half week old mix before it's finished. If I get a lot of silky work together the mix just keeps getting older without being used. See where I'm coming from?

 

Obviously you needn't mix 5l at a time, you can do less but it's still Imo a hassle to faff about with fuels in my situation

I se where you are coming from but I don't understand how you are getting bad fuel in the time frame. I use Stihl 2 stroke oil and we lost a combi can for 6 months, the fuel was still fine, in my experience it takes more than that for fuel to "go off" so what oil were you using?

Hi, The speed pump fuel "go's off" depends on where the fuel came from and how it is stored. I Have known a engine to not start with fuel that was 3 weeks old from the pump. Most engine information says not to use fuel that is over 4 weeks old.

Just spent 4 days with GGP who own Mountfield, Stiga and Atco. They recommend Aspen to all their dealers!

 

3 Days of just under 200 staff per day from their dealers all round the UK

 

Had loads of interest so you should see lots more dealers soon!

I tried alkylate fuel before you started in this job mate

Its alkylate fuel....mate....., no different now to then and the last time I used it was about 12 months ago

So get ur facts right as ive been in longer than a year. Granted its less than 5.

If you have used it '12months' ago why all the questions when youve seen and used it first hand? Instead winding others up!
