To Coronet or Not to Coronet, now that is a question

, as soon as you have a really flat long branch it became very hard to get in a position.

 

I find with these ones that a nice long, diagonal top cut works well......nice big angles rip and then just mash the end up a bit with the saw for visual purposes....works a treat:thumbup1:

Just out of interest James, could you have been anchored higher for the work position in the last photo?

 

Not criticism, (I wasn't there) just interested in what your thoughts on it are?

i could have stuck it in the big V folk above where it is, but i wouldnt have anchored in any higher there was die back in the top, also apart from 1 limb the rest were straight forward easy to get out branches which didnt need a good anchor point.

 

cheers for that sean i shall store that in my memory for next time if ever i get to do 1 :thumbup1:
