Well, just for the record and to get this thread back off track, I had my assessment last week [1] and there was absolutely no mention of cambium savers. NPTC are apparently planning to ditch the spiking elements of CS38 soon - maybe that will free up some time for a bit more advanced (or just up to date) climbing techniques.

 

[1] Passed with just 2 minors by the way :biggrin:

 

 

to be honest mate i can not see the test council removing the pole rescue from the 38 assessment, OR they really are going backwards? and don't get me started on the Cambium saver subject again. talk about bump and grind..........:biggrin:

Here are my first pics of my climbing kit. I have got quite abit to much so i am starting to take things off that i dont really need on it as its getting heavy when am climbing which is a newbie mistake.

Go easy and any advice is greatly recieved.

 

Crist, whats with all the stuff? are you going to war?:lol: all i'v got is spikes, a pole belt and 10m's of thickish blue nylon which i got from a mate who works for BT.:thumbup:
