268XP, any opinions????

Hi,

 

I work as a groundie and currently use an MS260 as my ground saw but Im looking to get another saw as a backup and maybe something a little bigger than a 260 for ringing. There is a nice looking 268XP for sale local to me, has anyone got any experience of these saws?

Big solid old lump, will probably still be going in another 20 years! If you aren't using it all day, it will be fine.

Solid old saw . Depends on price but it won't let you down if its up together.

Its up for £150 starting bid on ebay, not sure if I would pay much more than that tbh!

my 268 ws nicked from the back of my car last September. It was a brilliant saw and I really miss it because it was light and plenty of welly. I used it for milling smaller logs up to about 22 inches in dia including beech and oak!
