Found the 30 cm STEIN cut aways work well to join the spliced rope to the hitch. You can fit them between the side cheeks of the Skywalker on to the one carabiner leaving the top eye free for other uses.

Nick have you tried a revolver instead of using the ring on your bridge it makes adjusting under load a bit easier.

LOL I havent but I can see how any pulley on the bridge would help when adjusting the system. Just like to keep it simple really but good idea Paul.

Also I'm sure I've read that it's not a good idea to use spliced end of your rope as the bend directly behind splice can compromise its strength!

I can see how the slice can interfear with the system a bit but I can't see how a good splice would comprimise the strength in the system. Terminated knot would save you having to pay out for any splice and mean you can get the hitch a bit closer to your harness, so get a thumbs up from me on that basis.

the splice doesnt work there as it gets in the way when extending the system under load, you can also get the system closer to you when in short mode if you just use a termination knot. Alos the webbing sling there is a pain as you would have to undo the whole system to re anchor and so possibly drop a piece of gear.

A revolver make s aheap of difference too and also lets you detach the system to move around limbs etc.. but nice clear pics nick :)
