bare root leylandii ?

i am looking for bare root leylandii.

 

the nursery i normal use for bare root stuff does not sell leylandii. does any one have any ideas of a trade nursery where i could get some. i am in halifax thanks michael

 

WHY? - PLEASE DO NOT PLANT LEYLANDII ask your self or them why they dont sell them , its because its a really poor tree :thumbdown: there should be a LAW against it.

I,ve never heard of Leylandii being sold bare root at any size. Is it very small ones you are looking for 45-60's? I'd be worried about them not establishing root growth quick enough to keep up with the demands of the top growth if they are not well pampered.

 

Just checked some of the dutch, english and southern irish wholesale listings and can't see bare root ones.

Let me know if you get some and how you get on with them.

Why is it a poor tree? In the right place it's really nice and is useful too. Don't be a hater on a tree. See The World's Biggest Leylandii Site - Leylandii.com and order yourself some.

I will keep this short, im a hater because after a life time working in trees the probs they bring make me feel this way, on the up side , i have made a mint over the years cutting the things down:thumbup: i have another name for them, MONEY TREES , Theres only one good Leylandii and thats a dead one and it will still make you money:lol:
