This is an IWT 16ft tiltbed, i use it normaly to tow my race car and i have a cover for it .

I think that would be ideal as a firewood liner. 7 foot wide means pallets could go 2 wide if needed. Fit with drop sides to stop pallets sliding, perhaps need to borrow one from my IFW dealer first.

I use my polytunnel to dry my firewood, I scrounged some redundant vents from a local farmer (the ones they put on the grain store floor and pile the grain on to) attached a powerful electric fan to one end and it worked a treat, would be better if it was warm air though but it certainly dried the snow off them

You could educate the garage by comparing your logs with the kiln dried stuff with a moisture meter. A poytunnel with prevailing wind blowing through will dry logs in a couple of weeks in the summer. But its probably easier to build a kiln that will take a pallet at a time. Makes you wonder just how many of these logs actually make it to the kiln. I think kiln dried is now the name for dry. Who actually polices whether the logs have been kiln dried ?

The way the government are involving police in investigating things that should be left to other bodies (phone hacking, footballers saying nasty things on the pitch etc) there could be a firewood squad in the offing! Particularly if someone bungs a Scotland Yard senior officer a few quid!
