you could get a 100kg weight on that but if you encoutered sloppey ground it can get a bit unsteady, 80kg would be better, but unfortunatly the vector one is a bit heavy for a 1.5 tonner @225kg in total. I have one on a takeuchi 1.6t with the expanding tracks, complements a tractor one very nicely despite only having a 90kg weight, as it can nip into all sorts of tight spaces and tows behind landy, i had to have it made/altered from one which goes on a compact tractor and it suits it very nicely, won't knock in bigger than 6inch diameter tho unless i drill a pilot hole with the auger

Have a look at the Rabaud, excavator based knocker, Rabaud it has a level gauge to inform the driver of vertical and puts posts and stakes in well for a small unit. We can supply them if you are interested. They are made in France and build quality is very good.

very handy setup there big bolt, is that a 100kg weight on that? Also when the hammer is going up and down do you find the machine quite steady, or is it quite 'bouncy'? Iv been thinking of trading my mini digger for a boxer but cant quite make up my mind which is more versatile for my needs.

protech are very good machines we have a 250kg on or 8060 jcb this is a excellent combination with side tilt and the digger controls doing the rest .this is not unsteady even with the leg off the ground and the reach up or down hill over ditches can not be matched by trator/boxer etc also 30 seconds drops it off to put bucket for grading on or timber grab .i dont know how to put up photo or video of it in action

I have seen an advert, could have been plant trader? A company that supplies a kit to convert a concrete pecker into a post driver, will have to google!!:001_rolleyes:

I have used a compaction plate on the arm of a 32ton cat 360 for hammering posts in when working in the Australian vineyards... Worked well but to be fair you could just press them in with the weight of the machine.
