As been said you need different gloves for different applications. For climbing you want thin and snug fitting sticky gloves and ground work you want anything else depending on material. Welders gauntlets are the best for thorny stuff but a good thick pair of leather gloves will stop most thorns if you handle the branches with care. You will always get the odd 1 or 2 catching you anyway. Either that or you need hands like slim jim

Have a try of these ones.

Cutter Work Gloves - Home

They are very tough but do have a decent level of dexterity.(I say decent but you cant compare leather gloves with the thin climbing ones)

I suggest you get a tight fitting pair especially if climbing in them.

Just dont hit them with a chainsaw!

Look like good gloves. How long do you normally get out of a pair? :001_smile:

Tbh I usually hate wearing gloves especially when climbing but these ones were fairly good. They got hammered as we were doing a lot of scrub clearance with plenty of thorny stuff plus wire, glass and other nasty stuff.

So about 2 weeks which considering the abuse they got was quite good.:thumbup1:
