Climbing other stuff

I figured that as this is a place for the climbers I would stick this here:

I was curious to know if any of you guys do climbing walls or are qulified cliff climbers or go up rock faces?!

I ask because I am doing my aerial rescue course soon but being a squaddy for the last decade I have done a bit of adventure training and that usually involves kayaking and either cliffs or climbing walls.

im a rock climber and soon to be tree climber officially.

a story it wasnt me personally but some mates went climbing up in scotland on a big crack multipitch only to find a dead deer on the top of the 3rd pitch and could not get around it or away from the smell quick enough as it had been there for a few days and was rotting nicely.

You be careful on them there poles. A bloke down this way died in October after climbing 50ft up a pole and falling backwards. And he wasn't drunk. Inquest hears how partygoer fell from 50ft pole (From The Argus)

As well as climbing trees, I like the walls and have done southern sand stone a few times. Really need to do more. Two of my daughters climb and have a lesson every week now so I've got a good incentive!

There is a decent indoor center in Swindon that I am looking at going to for a play and when I get out and move the center MK is not far away.

I dont really have any climbing stories, however I was once sat at the top of a palace in Basrah installing some equipment and stopped for lunch. Sat on a wall with my legs dangling over a 60ft drop when the Brigadier walked out the building, looked up and saw my legs dangling over the side. Needless to say I got a little telling off!

i started out being heavily into tree cimbing and now im hugely into rocks and ice, half the reason i moved to sweden was because i have boulder fields 20mins from my house and norway 4 hours away. good to see some rock fellas about. check out dmms new ice climbing range.
