Not done a tree next to one of these before, so should I be getting the leccy board involved?

 

The Euc is to be felled and is about 5 feet at the closest point.

This is what's called a proximity zone 2 tree that's within 9 metres of the power line with aerial work to be done the power co should be informed

Looks like theres HV and LV lines, ring electic company get in the systom it takes a long time to get them to move some times get a job number make a note of how they tell you when someone will ring you back if you hear nothing nag. They may want there tree cutters to do it let them do it then you clear up.

If you can get a pull rope round it and pull it away from the lines you might not need to turn the power off. But you still need to inform the power company they will prob send someone out when you do it if it can be done live.

Phone up the network operator they have to phone you back within two working days under new leglislation so I was informed by a nice man at western power last week!!
