Just like Sam, I have no idea what to say, except that I hope there is some action that can still be taken to avert this terrible thing, both your friend and his family, and for you.

Thanks

He could try for political asylum in Scandinavia?

Expand?

Good luck.

Thank you

Will do.

I had a friend, native Zimbabwean. She studied here and then worked for a bit then was threatens with deportation after nearly 12 years IIRC. She ended up leaving work and her studies to be a barrister. She ended up going back to teacher training college and did a pgce and then taught for a couple of years.

She has since married and is now back working within the legal field. I know this doesn't directly help but it is similar to the sponsorship thing as at the time there was a shortage of teachers.

Norway seems to grant asylum to anyone.Thats not ment to sound flippent but he could try...

In our case the Norwegian Government stole land we purchased and is at present going to court without us to make us homeless. Double Standards.

Mugabe is a terrible person. :001_rolleyes:

Hope it works out for your friend and that woman called.
