Right guys, I have been using nothing but Blue Streak for the last 5 or 6 yrs and love it...recently acquired some arbormaster rope from Ianleach and I have to be honest, I'm not a fan. Feels light, stretchy and thin...I should have stuck to what I am used to, damn me for trying something different.

Does anyone else find this or am I alone?

Should I bear with it or get shot..?

anyone recommend a rope that has a nice girth, not too much stretch and is hardwearing..?

thanks guys.

That rope from Samson with the foam core was launched at TCIA last year. But it will never pass CE and i'm not sure it will stay on the market for long as the inner foam core tends to break up when shock loaded. The orignal design was to put a dynema core in it, but this got replaced by foam due to costs etc. Yale tried something similar about 15 years ago but gave it up as a bad idea due to the problems of the foam.

I use'd the abormaster for a while and liked it, then went onto Yale Xtc Fire, great rope and love that. Also im in the process of using some Tachyon Rope, and talk about thin, not too sure about that, think its 11mm but seems thinner and looks it.

Stick with the arbormaster for a bit, see how you get on with it, change isnt always a bad thing.
