My 357's warm enough to just keep hold of without wearing gloves. Ideal for them cold rainy days :thumbup1:

I'd personally get them on any new saw, roughly £50 extra on the price but well worth it imo

my new 372xpg only has one setting on handles, on/off

the new 560xpg has one setting only, the carb heater kicks in when the temp drops below a certain level as determined by the saw

Same with my new 372xpg only one setting. I was under the understanding that they are now thermostatically controlled on the carb heater. Guess I need to look into this more.

After talking with two dealers both advised me to unplug the carb heaters. That unless I was working in -F temps they could possibly do more harm than good.

On both my 346 and 372 they were easy to unplug the carb feed wire. That way if needed at some point I can just plug them back in.

As to heat for me they have not gotten too hot. Just about the time I would think about turning them off, I put the saw down for a few minutes to do some thing and by the time I pick it back up the heat feels nice. :thumbup1:

They work really well with those thin gloves I use. I gave you a pair didn't I?

Dries them off in a minute or two!

I have heated handles on the660. It's great when it's wet, dries your gloves and the handles so you can grip the saw!

Plus the more you rev the warmer the handles, makes you do more work!

Hi mate a 660with heated is very good tool I'm a southen softe jon

Yep heated handles are the future. Everyone I work with is getting fed up with me banging on about them. Slightly worrying what you guys are saying about the heated carb tho. Will look into unpluging it on my 261 when it comes back from the menders.
