looks fun. agree with the others somewhere between 4 and 10 grand. How many climbers in your team?

 

Just me climbing,two our staff and the road control and grab truck from the contractor.

 

Its only four trees now,the first and largest isn't coming down.

Nah,there are old utility lines beneath them that have to be excavated and that will sever the roots on one side.

You should be doing it for nowt for the firwood, the customer is doing you a favour.

 

Sounds like I am not the only one to have had this put to me by clients recently...."Don't worry its ok you can keep your crappy leylandii logs if you want them"

 

Don't know about pricing the job in hand sorry...would recommend "High" though

When I get the "you can sell the wood" speech, I just say " you pay me to do the job, I'll leave you the wood then you can sell it and get your money back!"

I am delivering about four ton of Ash,Birch and Pine tomorrow for less than 100quid.

Nobody wants the stuff here.

This year I've had other tree firms asking to buy timber of me!, there seems to be a real shortage over here at the moment.
