that is the one thing with dogs, but our night dogs only eat food if its in the their day runs, i've been very careful to teach them that so hopefully they won't eat any food outside day runs. But never say never i guess. Good luck getting the food in the yard, there's only two of us here who will put them away or let them out. I wouldn't trust them too far, they like to nip you if u don't feed them quick enough in the morning!:blushing:

All these terrible thefts have a single common fact. Vehicles are used to remove the stolen items so if the vehicles tyres could all be popped then cannot drive off. There are some of these spikes at fuel stations now to avoid drive off's so should also be on tree work sites.

The theft problem this year is madness everyone i know has been done, it must be organised? possibly going out to poland???? i dont even hear of anyone getting offerd stuff in the pubs. its a problem that the police cant or wont even manage, they just had out a crime number, and thats were they stop.

The police haven't got time to waste on trivial things like stolen equipment.... tsk.... :001_rolleyes:

What sort of 'forestry bits & bobs' was it? Chains & so forth...?

yeah we've had a spate around us, apparently a white transit is the culprit. Come into your yard and ask for batteries and scrap and then leave only to come back later for the expensive bits..........the night dogs are being kept a little bit hungrier at the moment just incase they need to have a good feed one night!

I hope he gets his stuff back, but in reality he'll be lucky to even get a sniff of it!!!

A white transit van WV51 XH (didn't get the last digit), side door with broken handle, pulled in our place this week with two lads mid thirties, one tubby wearing hi viz, one asked if the gaffer was about, the mrs said no why, he said he bought some batteries off me before Xmas and wondered if I had anymore, I would never sell anything to them and the mrs knows this, she told them to go.

Fortunately we have two German Shepards and one Mastiff and they told them to go as well.

Hi tim Ber,

Sorry for the late reply. Unfortunately the stuff that was taken could be passed off as the "new" owners. There were no distinctive markings. Tushing chains, crappy old combi cans etc. thanks for the help though. Just keep an eye on your stuff too.
